Submission Guidelines
Follow the steps below to move from draft to accepted, published paper.
Submission types
Extended Abstract
Approximately 500 words, outlining objectives, scope, and results (if available). No figures or tables allowed.
Short Paper
Up to 4 pages, including an abstract, introduction, results/discussion, and references. Must clearly present objectives, scope, and results.
Full Paper
Up to 8 pages, providing a detailed description of the work, with additional sections, images, graphs, and results as needed.
-
Formatting and template
All submissions must use the ICICA .docx template. Papers must be prepared as per the template — the ICICA Extended Abstract Template or standard paper template can be downloaded below. Ensure compliance with the template for formatting consistency.
-
Plagiarism check
All submissions are screened using Turnitin software, with a maximum similarity index of 20%. Manuscripts exceeding this threshold require revision; substantial plagiarism results in rejection without review.
-
Double-blind peer review
Submissions undergo double-blind peer review by the Scientific Committee. An initial evaluation assesses suitability (language, originality, scope alignment); suitable papers are then reviewed by experts for originality, methodology, results, ethical standards and writing quality. Possible outcomes: accept without revisions, accept with minor revisions, accept after major revisions, or reject. Authors are notified via email and must address reviewer comments for final submission.
-
Publication
Accepted extended abstracts, short papers, and full papers are published in the conference proceedings with an ISSN and ISBN, archived in the proceedings of NERD Publication. Each paper is assigned a unique DOI by CrossRef. A proposal for Scopus indexing has been submitted and is awaiting response.
-
Presentation requirements
Accepted papers must be presented at the conference — in-person or virtually — to be included in the proceedings. Oral presentation slots run 15 minutes (in-person) or 10 minutes (virtual).
-
Registration
At least one author per paper must register by the regular registration deadline for the paper to be included in the proceedings and final program.
-
Copyright
Corresponding authors must submit a signed copyright form with the camera-ready submission. Failure to do so by the deadline will result in the paper's removal from the proceedings.
